I flashed my n900, eMMc and PR_COMBINED but now when i turn it on, the pin code comes up all white, with [][][][] on every place where number, skip and done should be. once i get passed this screen, the desktop doesn't load up at all. All i see is a purple line in the top right hand corner with the [][][][] thing there again.

I've tried reflashing it 3times now but it's still coming up with this, does anyone know how to fix this?

Did you choose the right version of the PR_COMBINED for your region ?

Did you flash emmc first? Just curious because whenever I flash emmc second, that same stuff happens to me. I have to flash emmc then flash with PR1.3.

Sounds like exactly what would happen if you:
    flash rootfs
    reboot
    flash emmc
    reboot.

When N900 boots first time after getting rootfs flashed, it moves a bunch of stuff like fonts and icons to emmc. If you then flash emmc, those fonts and icons get erased.

Yeah I would flash emmc, then without rebooting flash the rootfs. That usually does the trick for me. If you already tried that then that's as far as my knowledge goes ...

    problem solved.

After flashing the eMMc, for some reason my n900 would come out of flashing mode, so while i thought it was just flashing the PR really quickly, it wasn't flashing it at all
