I got the update yesterday and today it crashed a few times when I taped "next track" and while I was in random play mode

When you fix that change the name to "awesomeplayer"

Renaming into *mp3 is possible in the shell, but direct access would be nice to have ...

P.S. a great player ...
First of all, great piece of software. Thanks for that.

The one thing that really stands out for me is the sound quality, which is markedly superior to any player I have so far used on the N900. This is especially important if one also listens to casscial music.

I would second the notion of including *.m4a in the selection filter, as currently about 1/3 of my music files (hundreds.of songs) do not get detected by someplayer.

Another big bonus would be the ability to play music directly from folders, like with "symfonie". For those like me who copy a large chunk of music from one's CD collection and find manually tagging to be a pain in the ,.., this would vastly improve usability.

Again, thanks a lot for this very fine work.

You can already do that.

1) On the current playlist, click on the white arrow at left of a song and select "Clear playlist".

2) On the bottom right of the screen there is a folder icon with a plus sign. Click on it.

3) Navigate to the folder you want to add.

Is it likely a widget will be released in future updates? It's the main feature of the stock player I use.
