Hello,

I need some help to get rid of U-boot. I've accidentally installed U-boot (I know there was a notification that said don't install it so it was really stupid of me). Now when I boot my N900 a penguin comes on the screen and my device keeps on rebooting. How can I let my N900 boot again on maemo (sorry for my bad Englisch).

Thanks
(I know there are several posts like this but can't find something good to help me.)

Start the device, wait for the bootscreen to appear, then type 'run noloboot' before anything starts.
Reinstall some kernel and flasher.

or just flash pr1.3 kernel
takeout the battery , open the keyboard slider , connect your n900 to the pc , press and hold "u" , insert the battery .
use flasher 3.5 to flash the kernel back to PR1.3 kernel .
flasher-3.5 -k <zImage> -f -R
thats all .
if you need more instructions read below..
you can get the kernel image by extracting the fiasco image .
suppose you placed the image in /home/nicolas/PR1.3/
you would unpack it by
flasher-3.5 -F /home/nicolas/PR1.3/RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -u
now that it's unpacked , flash the kernel by doing
flasher-3.5 -k /home/nicolas/PR1.3/zImage -f -R
