If it comes with even 1/6th of the specs in this thread, Nokia will probably charge like 800.00 for it.

How about this... what I want first is confirmation from Nokia that it is coming. Then, I want to know what OS version it will run. And then I want to know if they will support it for at least a year or should they become the first cellphone manufacturer with a ****ing "Sold As-Is" sticker on the side.

    That's what I want. Facts.

    £800 / $800 heh

Funnily enough, I checked the Nokia UK store earlier and they are still selling the N97 Mini With Ovi Music for £400!

My favorite game of all time in t.m.o !!

For a moment, lets consider these specs:

    General
    -----------

Latest Quad-Core ARM Cortex A15: OMAP5/Tegra based (atleast 1.5Ghz each)
    Graphics processor: Broadcom's BCM2763 (better than the BCM2727 in the N8) or the Dual-Core GPU VR-SGX543 (545?) or SGX543MP4+
    2D/3D Graphics HW Accelerator
    1GB RAM, 2GB ROM, 2GB swap
    64GB internal storage
1800mah battery and a capacitor (should be able to hold atleast 15sec) for being online while changing/swapping batteries
List price around $700 (for unlocked and non-keyboard version)

    Design
    ----------

    4"+ multi-touch screen
CBD (Nokia) or PLS (LG) or the yet-to-appear Super-AMOLED-2 (Samsung) screen.
Higher resolution (1280*800 or 1440*900 16:10) screen with higher ppi density
    Scratch resistant gorilla glass display
Metal (carbon fiber?) body finish (or anodized aluminium body like that of N8)
Dockable design (like the Motorola Atrix 4G)
Grease resistant Keyboard (4-row) and non-keyboard versions. Innovate a stylish keyboard add-on
Customizable hardware buttons. The more the merrier
Weight approximately 150gms for non-keyboard version and 180gms for keyboard version

    Cellular
    -----------

    Pentaband (2G & 3G) GSM support
    4G (LTE) Ready
    EDGE/GPRS/HSPA/HSPA+
    Data Modem
    Dual Microphones
Active Noise cancellation (with a dedicated mic)
Talktime 12 hours (on any mode)
    Standby 500 hours

    Connectivity
    ------------------

Nokia 2mm charging connector. Also charging over microUSB.
    hot-swappable microSDXC slot
    microUSB v3.0 support
    microHDMI v1.4(a) out
USB OTG and Host Mode support
    Bluetooth 4.0/3.0
    IR Port (supporting IrDA protocols)
    Wifi b/g/n
    Wifi hotspot
    UPnP support
    DLNA support
    WiDi support
    NFC chip

    Gaming
    -----------

    Digital Compass/Magnetometer
    Gyroscope
    multi-axis Accelerometer
    Vibration chip
    Ambient light sensor
    Proximity sensor

    Multimedia
    ----------------

    TV-Out via (micro)HDMI 1.4(a)
TV-Out should be capable of delivering atleast 2560X1600@60FPS playback
TV-in (recording atleast in component quality) - like the Cowon A3
Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound over HDMI
    Loud Stereo Speakers
    EQ support
    3.5mm audio jack
    MP3/WMA/AAC/FLAC/OGG
    Upto 320 kbps bitrate
    MP4/H.264/FLV/Theora/WebM/AVI/MOV/DAT/MPEG-2/3GP/VOB/MKV
    FM Stereo Transceiver with RDS
    FM recording

    Navigation
    ---------------

SiRF star 4 GPS chip with A-GPS
Offline Navigation (should work without any cellular/wifi connectivity)

    Camera
    -----------

    12MP auto-focus camera (with N8's 1/1.83 sensor or an even bigger-&-better sensor)
    Carl-Zeiss optics
    3x optical zoom
    Dual-Xenon Flash
Full-HD 1080P@60fps video recording with stereo audio and Image Stabilization
    Front facing camera (2MP)

Other items that would be awesome to have:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------

    Dual-SIM (hot-swappable) card slots
    Digitizer for hand-writing recognition
    Finger print recognition
Back of the phone as a track-pad
Barometer (weather forecast & altitude determination)

At this point, I wouldn't even care, if it sells with Maemo or MeeGo or Symbian^3/4 or Android or iOS provided all the hardware included in the phone is used wisely/efficiently.

A device of this spec will at some point get hacked!
Possibility of a phone with the above listed spec is already giving me goosebumps. We are not very far to have a phone with such kind of specs. Could be very possible by mid of 2012 itself or in the worst case end-2012.

Btw, I don't think these specs are any impossible to have in one nice little handy package. We have seen almost all of the above specs in the latest phones available (and some announced) in the market today. The only few new things added to the list above are S-AMOLED2, TV-in, BCM2763 graphics chip & multi-SIM card slot.

I would be willing to wait for a phone of this spec to be atleast announced/leaked by the end of 2011.

Absolutely not! $800 Max (by end-2012)!
But why the manufacturer wouldn't give you such a device today would be:
    1. If they sell this today what will they sell tomorrow
    2. Availability of all the required modules in bulk (probably in millions) and each from different vendor/manufacturer
    2. All the hardware can't right away be exploited
    3. Battery technology still needs to be evolved. (I am not having high hopes on it yet!)

I think the pure hardware & manufacturing cost would not exceed $400 (+ or - 50).
