If I may make a suggestion. Would it be possible to integrate some way to upload it to the Internet? I can imagine this would be a great EOL solution for the N900. Use it as a home security system.

Ok, got it working.. from vlc streaming options "play locally" was not on, now it works. its so laggy its not very usable, though i only have max 512kb/s 3g network on my n900. but hey it still works!!

So i was trying to use the app, and after i press generate sdp, it does nothing for a few secs and then just closes. And I see nothing in MyDocs, am using kernel power v46 and have installed "expect"..help wud be highly appreciated. Thnx

If it crashes at the 'Generate' stage then that means it can't find your ip address...
Have you tried launching the app from terminal "/usr/local/bin/PhoneStreamer" but not as root?

The one I gave above should work...
Note: When I say 'run in xterm', I really just mean 'launch from xterm'.
So there should still be a gui and everything....

I forgot to mention, I did try that. The reason i asked is bcoz is says "PhoneStreamer not found". And when i check the contents of the bin folder it does show PhoneStreamer!!!
