Updated to version 0.1.2, no changes in the program, I just added postinst and prerm scripts to start the daemon after installation (no need to reboot) and stop it before uninstall.

I promoted the package to extra-testing, please test it and give karma to promote the package to stable:

Hi,

First of all, thanks for this very useful application.

Just wanted to inform you that I have now repeatedly noticed the programme to use almost all of the CPU power, running constantly at or near 100%. Needless to say that such behaviour drains the battery at an alarming rate in addition to heating up the device.

This only happens sometimes when listening to music (I use someplayer) and does not stop when the player is closed. Turning off the phone is the obvious solution.

I have oveclocked my phone to 1 Ghz, so that may also figure in.

No idea if others have noticed a similar behaviour.

Please show us the output of powertop from when this daemon is running.

That is not with music running, just this daemon. Also check CPU useage for daemon. This will allow us to identify whether it is your device or this program.
