Really excited, just got an N800 so I can use it as an awesome poor man's sonos with Logitech's Wireless Music System.

When I try installing the Rhapsody client from the Application manager I get the following error message. "Unable to install rhapsody Application packages missing: rhapsody-player, rhapsodyapplet".

Not sure why those packages would be missing if they are required...

Also when I download the .deb file directly from Nokia's site and try to install that, it looks like it's totally going to work but then it says "unable to install rhapsody" but it doesn't give any info on why.

Any ideas? I'm really excited to have this working, just need to overcome this issue.

I'm running OS2007 and tried to update my Rhapsody and got the same message. That I can tell it hasn't been available since.

good looking out Howard. I was limiting my searches just to the N800 category. I'm gonna try installing the debs from this site which was referenced in that thread.

I'll post after I've given it a shot. Hopefully they'll be music in the background by then

I'm glad it worked out OK. It looks like Nokia started to upgrade Rhapsody to v2.1, but never added all the files. (If you open the Application Manager, it will show that an upgrade is available for Rhapsody v2.1, but it won't complete the install.)

I had uninstalled Rhapsody but I couldn't install it because of the 2.1 update... Ver. 2.1' is for OS2008 don' load it until it's officially out.

Go directly to the web page with the Rhapsody App. ver. 1.1: http://www.nokiausa.com/A4410957 download it to your computer or N800 memory card and then install it.

Hope this helps... I really missed it when it happened to me!

    Hi,

It's now Mar 08 and I just did an upgrade (as it is called) of the os on my 810 to the latest 2008 version.

I can't install either Rhapsody or Skype. I tried to get a .deb package for Rhapsody, but the ones I found don't install.

Has anyone else managed to get Rhapsody to install with the latest os? Would you mind pointing me to the right package is so? Also, if anyone has gotten Skype installed, could you point me to the package?

    Thanks much, Beth

[Next time I do an upgrade, I think I shall wait until it's been out for a while, at the least.]

FWIW, it appears that skype did install itself, even though it said it didn't.

I tried again installing rhapsody 2.1 (from here http://repository.maemo.org/catalogu...er/r/rhapsody/) and am getting the message that something is incompatible (just what, it doesn't say).

    Thanks all, Beth

Dispite what has been said above I have ver 3.1 on my N800 OS2008.

I found I could not install upgrades unless I set my region to USA, after its installed you can revert back to your own country if its not USA.

With my location set to "los angeles" and language/region set to USA it updated just fine.
