guys my screen broke after my n900 droped from my hand .. the touch screen is working while the glass is broken .. its still workin fine .. i went to nokia and the warranty is not claimable .. they said they'd fix it for 70$ whereas in local market i can get it fixed for 30$.. i wanted to know if the n900 hardware is easy to repair and are there any problems after opening the devices like the cover on the touch screen becomes lose or anything like it ???
and my keyboard is not soft anymore it has become rough.. can i fix it or clean it myself??? or it needs to be open ..?
What do you guys think i should go for the repair in the local market or the nokia centre either way my warranty isnt claimable???

well if you are confident that you can do it 100 % by your self and you have some experience also, than you can go ahead and do it your self (not a recommended thing however) otherwise i prefer nokia care center.
as far as "problems after opening the devices like the cover on the touch screen becomes lose or anything like it " i do not have any idea(sorry)

and ya, do not forget to backup everything before repair or delete ur privet stuff

connect to pc via usb cable or you can delete by connecting a tv out cable and also check everything is working fine or not

you can connect your n900 to ur pc by using vnc viewer or openssh and (use tv out for n900 screen)hope this helps....

how much is it brokn?
Mine is broken too after fall but mine is unnoticiable except at the startup white nokia screen or something with white background.but then also it's not that much that i need to change my screen
