FWIW, I think KIRF is dumb, glib, and flip.

It's silly when people speak about one being "better" than the other.
Although, I think touch-screens are overkill for most devices, and they promote lazy GUI programming. ie. no button shortcuts for the things you use most often.
I bet Nokia was thinking the same thing until Apple proved them wrong

Personally I like resistive for the single fact that you can touch the screen with everything you want also its more precise

I'm not sure Apple proved anything with regard to whether having Dpad and a slide-out keyboard, otherwise you wouldn't see so many accessories to add that to these Apple devices.

I agree about the d-pad. Navigating on my Palm Treo 650 was very fast because of the combination of d-pad, touchscreen and keyboard shorcuts/launcher. To bad there is not something like Petitlaucher (http://1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112509)
    for n900

I'm guessing we'll see chinese resistive for as long as the already existing factories aren't being reassigned to new apple stuff. The big brands are probably already done with the fine, accurate input stylus and outdoors winter usage support.

since I've always been using resistive am more used to it, I really don't like using IPhones because of this

    Resistive is futile.
