Firstly, I have searched for this issue and although some people seem to have had a similar problem it doesn't seem quite the same.

I recently tweaked one step to far with transitions and bricked my device. I have flashed my phone but not the mass memory and all is ok now, have all apps working fine. There is one problem though. Ever since I flashed my phone the email client is not working. I can set up an account and retrieve emails the first time but it will not automatically pick up new emails, I never had a problem before. I have tried deleting and adding the account many times and done the same before and after removing the widget but to no avail. I have noticed that in the menu for adding shortcuts to the desktop there are 2 email shortcuts. I thought maybe some sort of config file is still on the mass memory causing the client to get confused.

Any ideas? Its driving me mad
