    Hey,
idk if theres a thread like this i tried searching but there a ton that use the word wallpaper
so anyway i was wondering if there is a way to make the desktop wallpaper not move when u change to a different desktop, almost like the shortcuts and widgets etc move over this one image.
i know u can make it appear like this if all the desktops have an image like this:

    (or something similar)

but what if u want to have a desktop like this:

(or a photo, a calendar etc.)

im sorry if my explaining isnt very good, ive got a clear image of what id like to do. im not sure if its even possible and if it is how to do it.

    Thx in advance

so you want 1 wallpaper for all your desktops? otherwise there will always be a point where the image has to change/move to display the next one.

If you want just one wallpaper but 4 desktops i get the problem but i have no solution for you sorry.

    thats not what he want.
he wants a wallpaper, that doesnt move at all when he switches desktops.
if you just put the same wallpaper on every desktop, you will see them switching (except of course, if you set a wallpaper like the first one redninja posted)

i would be interested in such a feature as well!

You can use livewallpaper for this.
Just set the option "one theme in all views" and choose
    the "Livewallpaper/slideshow" theme.
Now, if your slideshow folder has only one image,
it shows only this one image on all desktops.

I also tried this some times, but it always doesn't work... how did you get it working?!
