I bought my N900 a year back. everything is just fine with the phone but of late it stopped saving any photos of videos that i click at the moment. only the previous photos are saved. no such problems with songs or data. anybody has any suggestions as to how i can mend it??? can this be a virus problem??? would be very glad to hear from you guys.

So if you open the file manager you can still see the files in their folders, they are just not showing up in the gallery and media player programs?

When I installed a microSD card in my N900, the camera started to save the photos to aDCIM folder on the card.

Can maybe this be your problem too?

I had a similiar problem with enabled livewallpaper (with video
as background):
- deactivating livewallpaper
- reboot
solved this for me.

Do you use a memorycard as photo storage?
Maybe it is corrupted and mounted as read-only.
