AFAIK those buttons have a fixed width across all the Maemo 5 user interface. It is not up to us to change them, sorry.

hello friends..

I am looking for the python equivalents of the pannable font selector and color selector. We have the deprecated and non finger-friendly hildon.fontselector and hildon.colorselector, but I am wondering if anyone has already done some work/created these for use in a python widget. I have done some good amount of searching and did not find pointers to these.

Would appreciate your help with some pointers, code samples

I'm not sure, but I think Thomas (thp) is using HE from python. Try having a look at gpodder.

@Conny - Thank you. actually I did locate thp's colorchooser python version - should have mentioned this earlier.

However I am looking for the Python versions of the finger friendly FontSelector or Color Selector dialogs as shown at the Hildon-Extras widget gallery

You could try making a Python binding for it - should be easy to do.
