My n900 sound stopped working after i tried to free up some rootfs space using the following command:
    Code:
     dpkg -l | grep ^rc | cut -d " " -f 3 | xargs dpkg --purge
also, another side effect is that enna ui became extremely slow after that.

Is there any way to get my sound back, disregarding a reflash?

It's probably due to some damaged sound package or something (or bad config). My question is, how to get the sound back?

Edit: before you ask me. yes, i have already tried rebooting a couple of times

    I would try a re-flash. Or a whack with a hammer.
