Will we be able to get flash 10 running on N900 Meego DE?

    This is a frequent question...
The popular wisdom, as I interpret it, says that:
    - Flash is a proprietary software, owned by Adobe
    - The MeeGo distribution includes only free/open source software

therefore, chances of Flash being included in the firmware images are slim, slim, slim.

There is no technological impediment to have flash 10 running on MeeGo or Maemo, it is simply impractical form the commercial point of view.

As a rule of thumb, with regards with N900... if it is not open source, chances of porting are slim.

So if you really need flash support, or patented codecs... MeeGo is a dead end for you.

I personally do not care. Open source is the way forward anyway.

Ugh, can we ban all threads about asking for Flash 10 for Maemo already?

The simple answer is NO, a fully-featured version will not be ported to Maemo (the leaked TI one doesn't count). Do all of you really need Flash 10 /that/ badly? Or do you just want an ePeen showdown between you an iDevice owners?

If you NEED Flash10, go install Nitdroid. Until then, Flash 9.4 with Tweak Flash is the way to go.

Maybe we should ask whether the Flash 9 implementation from maemo will make it's way to MeeGo, then.

Also, this might be relevant, considering they were vague, but not necessarily outright deny that MeeGo 1.2 won't get it's share of flash...

Dude, read the topic, lol. I guess that since everyone's already satisfied with the recent big fat NO we got, some are looking for the next best thing.

On a more satirical tone... Attention everyone, it's MeeGo Flash 10 season...! ( Sorry, OP, couldn't resist. )

somebody ban him... this **** has been answered about 50 ****ing times... if the actual meego releases gets flash 10 and its an ARM cpu then we might be able to use it, but am guessing it will be made especially for that devices hardware and not the N900...

Meego is being adapted by few tablets etc, where flash might be of great importance ! There might be a possibility that we can bring flash from these devices if a installation file for flash is not available.

i dont understand why you get so angry. Some people just dont read everything.
    Search is bad over here

Anyway, about flash, maybe open source is way to go but it is better to have ability to run everything.

More power is always better, thats why i hope that it will be there finally.
