I have followed this way to update nitdroid::

    root
    cd /home/user/MyDocs
    bzip2 -d n11_rc3.tar.bz2
    cd /
    mount /home /and
    rm -rf /and/*
    cd /and
    tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/n11_rc3.tar.bz2
    dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/NITDroid-kernel-Mido.Fayad.deb

the line tar xvf ... has not work and my phone has restarted...

I can start it but without any icons and graphics so itś unusable:-(

I have tried to use NSU and flasher but not successfully because the phone will not connect (only USB device is successfull so I can browse the phone from PC) but no chance to connect it in PC-suite mode so I canīt reflash:-(

if I used flasher, I have started my phone with pressed "u" but itīs not connect correctly probably. i can write flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R and I receive this answer:
    flasher v.2.5.2. (some date)
    RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin: %m

is there any chance of some hard reset?
how to continue? what to do to make my phone alive again?
    please help
    Miroslav

(sorry for duplicate post, I am agonized)
    If you get this>>>> %m
It means that, you have not put your image in flasher folder or you have typed a wrong file name

    Hi!

Usually flash fails because one has mispelled .
    Try again!
    Good luck.

I've been wanting to try N11 and can't seem to get it to play nicely.

I've had no troubles with previous versions 0.09 and gingerbread.

So I downloaded the new N11 tar.bz2 file and the suggested kernel and got the system to boot ok but during the boot process I get this:

    smia-sensor 2-0010: firmware: requesting smia-sensor-01-022b-04.bin
    smia-sensor 2-0010: : can't load
    et8ek8 3-003e: firmware: requesting et8ek8-0002.bin
    et8ek8 3-003e: firmware: can't load

I'm wondering whether these modules are important?

Also, I get random lockups when the UI is loading. I have removed as much as I can see settings relating to Nitsroid from my Mydocs.

Once you are there, ls to see what files you have for Nitdroid. It's name should start with 11. Edit that file as mentioned in the wiki. You will change the value mmcblk0p2 to mmcblk1p2. But check the wiki to be sure.
Thank you.I have changed the value as suggested and it boots into android but it still does not see my audio files on my sd card. It did say scanning sd card but it still only shows the audio files from the webos game monopoly that i have installed in maemo.

    the method i used was:

    root
    cd /and
    leafpad /etc/multiboot.d/11 (then press TAB)
....i then edited the leafpad file to change the values from mmcblk0p2 to mmcblk1p2

all looked ok but after the sd card was scanned it did not show my albums/songs that are on the card....all it shows is the sfx and snd files from the monoploly game.

i have tried a few restarts but still no joy.

many thaks for the advice tho.

any suggestions on what could be the problem?

when flashing with the flasher3.5 did you place the RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM file in the flasher directory?

    rm -rf /and/*
I never use that command when I uninstall the nitdroid, I just manual delete the folder and file in home directory

uninstall is easy, just remove multiboot, multiboot-kernel-maemo, multiboot-kernel-power, also the kernel of nitdroid
You can use faster application manager to do that, after remove just apt-get install --reinstall kernel-power kernel-power-flasher
then reboot, then you will have the rootfs space more

Finally, go to /home, delete the folder and file that nitdroid belongs to.
P.S opt and user folder is your maemo file, never delete it
