I started installing Android Gingerbread by using tutorial from this link: http://www.freemaemohelp.com/home/-/ablog/59086 . I got to the step 15 where it says to reboot and mount MyDocs. I rebooted but i can't mount MyDocs. I go to Xterm, enter "root" and then "mount /home/user/MyDocs" but i get this error: "mount: can't find /home/user/MyDocs in /etc/fstab" Please help!!!!!

I suggest you try real sources first then go with useless Google search

http://wiki.maemo.org/Nitdroid_easy_...lling_Nitdroid

p.s. Whoever wrote that so called "tutorial" is retarTed or made an error ( 1ts option is more likely )

You cant mount or unmount that directory, maybe he meant

Code:
mount /home /and

Dont risk making your device bricked use Maemo's wiki or NITDroid forums

You can mount and unmount /home/user/MyDocs just fine.

You need to know your stuff infinitely better before you start telling other people how things work, particularly so if you're going to question the mental acuity of another.

Obviously to unmount:
# umount /dev/mmcblk0p1

To mount:
# mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 /home/user/MyDocs

Simple as that.

Edit: after looking at the link posted by the thread starter, the tutorial is essentially correct - there are a couple of minor omissions and a few little errors, indeed there are actually better (and some easier) ways to do it, but the same can be said for bits and pieces throughout the maemo wiki as well.

Good luck.
