I am confused!...A symbian 3 on N900...not me...I was lucky enough to play with new Nokia E7 which has symbian 3 on it. I was saying to myself, damn this phone would be great if Maemo or Meego can be ported to it. The E7 hardware and design are great but damn..the symbian OS in it...make it suck!...it's like to have a BMW car with a 4cylinders corrola engine in it.

exactly my sentiments. i finally went and played with the e7 this weekend and immediately fell in love with the hardware and physical design. but dammnit, i can't say the same for the OS. you are being unkind to toyota. it should be a bmw with a lawn mower engine inside.

You can stop looking forward now Nokia is moving to WP 7 and they made Symbian closed source again

I agree E7 is big piece of hardware, with a lot of functionalities.

I hope the future meego device will like this!

hell no, we don't want a crappy 680 mhz arm 11 cpu, and **** that fixed fpcus camera, and 256 mbs of ram, no thank u .
but if you meant the hardware looks, as for the 4"screen and the qwerty and aluminuim body than hell yes we want that

Ok, I admit I've never used a Symbian OS phone. From what I understand however, as far as functioning as a cell phone its great. The Smart Phone aspects..not so much, but thats what I have Maemo for. Put me down for wanting to dual boot to Symbian 3.

If the samsung galaxy 2 is anything to go by

then would not a 1 Ghz dual processor and at least 512 or more ram be needed for meego to be competitive?
