As detailed in this previous post http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...&postcount=210 It seems that BARRIOSQUARE will no longer be available from August 2011

The only other viable option, until today 18/04/2011 was COTCHIN but sadly it seems that the domain has now expired and I guess we can assume that it is no longer being maintained

It's a real shame that whilst many good apps are being created and enhanced for other Social Networks, pretty soon Foursquare will be out in the cold as far as N900 users are concerned

Grateful therefore if an app could be developed please?. Thanks!!!

EDIT: Cotchin appears to be available again today 19/04/2011 but this shouldn't preclude from the fact that an app is required

I guess we could always use the Android Foursquare app once the Alien Dalvik is released....

Dunno why you think I'm an expert in "EVERYTHING" (WTF?!), but I don't want a Foursquare app thanks. You're the one requesting it so I thought it would be a good project to start learning to code.

Jedi...If I had time to learn the code, don't you think I would have?. Instead, I politely requested an app from the community.

Ok so I was wrong, you don't know everything.

A FOURSQUARE app would be awesome! Unfortunately I don't have the skill to code one myself. But if someone launches a app with full functionality (like the ios version) I would very happy to pay US$20 or maybe US$30.

I know that amount don't justify a lot of hours working on a code, but maybe I'm not the only one who wants to pay for a good app

    Cheers from Brazil

You want an app that tells people exactly where you are?

Uhm... why? I'm sure if anyone cared they'd send you a text?

Nah ,you're missing the point of 4Sq. I've found it useful to leave and pick up tips and advice about places I've been checking into. Particularly useful when visiting a Town or City you are not familiar with.

Besides...in these austere times, a check in costs me nothing. A text costs 10p
