hey eefo, how did you gain access to usr/share/fonts/nokia???? i cannot do it via mass storage mode, i wanna place the fonts for the Theme Customizer to change them, it seems reliable to me, can you help me out with this? i wanna refrain from using the xterminal

jaffer again: Do it via filebox as root or via X-Terminal as root, you need rootsh installed
Here eefo gave some important link to (his?) a good howto http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=991983&postcount=7

why going so much trouble using filebox, winscp or any other file manager to copy font to usr/share/fonts...there is a simple way to do that by using theme customizer only....

open theme customizer, click on the TC bar & press import fonts from folder...find where you keep the font on your phone & it will import the fonts automatic to usr/share/fonts...

there two type of fonts that can be use in n900...

    1.ttf
    2.otf

the best way find a proper fonts for your phone is at this web....

    http://www.dafont.com

to know if the fonts works (got all the symbol) the preview the font on that website...if it got a full font including symbol then download it & use TC to import the font...if the preview show plenty of square/blank on the symbol/letter then the font is not full & it not going to works properly on your phone...
