My own conclusion after extensive tracking of TMO since 25-12-09 is that 3rd party widgets are the main root of stuttering and weird behaviour on N900.

I will not write any bug reports until someone makes simple and short guide on how to debug system. Just couple of case studies on programs that leak would be enough. For examples how to write case studies for laymen look here http://blogs.technet.com/b/markrussinovich/ . Currently only hints&guide are some vague and short messages in bugzilla where devels hint on using syslogd and util repository (I almost ripped my *** off when I tried something as simple as syslogd). Sadly for me it took 3-6 hours to even learn basics and information was scattered across internet...meh*sigh*. And I have already forgotten that stuff. Should use daily..just too cryptic.

Somebody suggested on another thread it maybe the Black Plastic themes causing this problem and so I have reverted back to the standard Nokia one and so far so good.

I also seem to be having far greater battery life as a bonus.
