Recently, after finishing a phone call, pulseaudio will run in the background and take 25-30% cpu for no reason and drain upwards of 15-20% battery per hour (compared to my usual <1%).

I'm running latest CSSU with kernel-power, overclocked CPU to 1.15 ghz, but afaik nothing that modifies pulseaudio or calls audio constantly.

Now, from what I know CSSU did not make any changes to pulseaudio or the calling daemon, so I'm not sure where to look to find the problem. It does seem like this bug existed before (see: https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6868 ), but was theoretically fixed way back in PR 1.1... Searching pulseaudio just gets me really old bug reports related to the fixed bug.

stop/starting pulseaudio or killall pulseaudio fixes the symptom, but its happened twice already and checking top after every phone call seems a bit unreasonable.

Anyone else have this problem? Any idea what could be happening and if there's a way to fix it permanently? Maybe updating pulseaudio packages?

I have also recently found pulseaudio using a lot of cpu time doing nothing. For me it was after the new camera ui had gone wrong while I was recording a video. I can't remember now what I killed to fix it though.

Does input go through pulseaudio as well as output?
