I don't think the abstract field was available initially. I don't remember seeing it when I first submitted my application. I have made use of it now.

thats right, i just added it yesterday.

I also added a mini userprofile when you logged in and klick on your email address at the upper right corner.

There you can enter your name and set a beginner flag.

The beginner flag will be used for the beginner "category" later.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this already, but the link at http://competition.meetmeego.org/ that points to this thread is broken.

"in the maemoforum thread!" only gives you the meego coding competition picture.

Could anyone please check the new submission: Pinball
The external link says
I ported this app created long time ago to meego
So this app existed for MeeGo before 1st April?

Also I just got the confirmation of Intels prizes for the competition. We're still discussing about who will get the prizes, but all I can say at the moment is that it is for MeeGo x86 Apps which are submitted and validated to the AppUp store and the prizes itself consist of Intel SSDs.

Also we'll hear soon from Nokias MeeGo devices. Sorry, I'm not allowed to talk more about that, but it's really, really soon.

It is good to hear that some part of Nokia is still active on these community matters.

If it is only for x86 apps, then im a bit stuck as although i would love to see my game on AppUp, i have no way of testing it before hand. I presume there will be a separate bunch of prizes for arm apps?

At the moment there are the flights + hotel to the MeeGo Conference in November for every category winner, the money from the donations for the follow-ups (decision of distribution pending), the book from kojacker for the winner of the beginner category and a surprise prize.
We still hope to get money from qt and Developer MeeGo Devices.

Now Intel agreed to get us these SSDs for the best Apps submitted to the AppUp store...
