Me too? All my OVI mail is now not working. I log in etc but nothing gets sent anymore? This is an N900 and my OVI mail outgoing mail was working fine until recently? Any ideas?

Check in the other thread where you posted the same question. With the Yahoo migration the servers have changed.

Using ovi-mob.imap.mail.yahoo.com for both IMAP and SMTP (143 and 25) seems to work OK.

At least for me it's working fine, both receiving and sending.

I also just tried to login on email.nokia.com and it works OK!

Ok... I've fixed my problem. On the nokia messaging website https://email.nokia.com/account/manageAccount.action I managed to log in but in the "edit settings" section, there is usualy the option to choose which folders to sync. The option wasn't there for me? Here's what i've done... Open email app on phone, go into "edit accounts" and delete nokia messaging account. Close email. Then go back to nokia messaging website (link above) log in and remove your email address. Once removed, add your email address again straight away. "Edit settings" now shows my sync folders option. Open email app on phone and just add your nokia messaging account again and everything works again. For me at least anyway. Hope this helps anyone else. I think it was a problem with the nokia messaging service and maybe pulling the plug on the email app wasn't necessary. Anyway, worked for me

@natedog400,

Glad it worked out for you. I guess you could have done all that without touching the N900, but anyway

Now to the topic: when you deleted and re-added your e-mail account on the Nokia website, did you notice any differences in the server, ports, etc. before and after?

The problem might have been caused by your e-mail provider changing something (was it an OVI account?) and hence the need to delete/re-add your account to update those settings.

I'm afraid i didn't notice any changes? I use plain old hotmail and through the email app you don't get access to ports etc. My phones service provider is nokia messaging as hotmail never worked for me. If i select hotmail as my provider you then get access to ports n other stuff but not through nokia messaging
