I like it because its easier and you can use python, also if a ton of people use the service you can scale it very quickly.
Sounds great. I don't know anything about Python, but I'm quite an expert in Java.
EasyList is prepared to use services other than the one on my own web domain. You can point it to any URL you like. I think however that I need to create a proper list container protocol first (probably based on XML). A protocol which supports multiple lists. Then when that protocol has been released. Everyone could in theory create their own service with which EasyList can sync.

Yes, I would use java but... I think python is better with memory management and overhead. Also I don't know python yet. I can use it as an excuse to learn. As for multi-list support I would use something like json, I don't know if we have to use full blown XML.

Implementing json is really easy in Qt with libqjson.

JSON might indeed be better. I'll do some learning when I get the time.

A nice application but hierarchical structure is very much missing to make it useful for me.

I love your app.. It's very useful.. Before web site, my wife sent me the shopping list by sms and I was always need to edit this on the phone, but now by web site it's very easy Thank you..
Maybe you could create a desktop application that would be even easier ?

I'll think about it. A desktop application is a little bit out of scope for what I had in mind for EasyList

I have a question, I created a list on sync web, now I have this list on my n900 but if I try to remove some items and use sync button, the items reappear. Is it corrected?

    Hi Iscio,

Thanks for trying EasyList out. The quick answer to your question is: Yes.
The sync button is a one way sync. The website list will be downloaded to a list named: SyncList.
If you want then you could Sync then go to Lists... and save that list under another name so you have a copy of the SyncList of that moment.

I also have to note that the Sync functionality is experimental. I want to see how it works now so I can find out how it might be improved in the future. Ofcourse this means that all suggestions are welcome and will be considered seriously.
