dudefromny - i tried doing it the same as you but never got this far. kudos. i tried to retrace your steps but again, i didnt get as far as you did.

if all fails, the last resort is to create an image of microcorelinux or puppylinux to be run in qemu and serve as a proxy server where the connection is done. this is a heavy weight solution as a very last resort...
