ok we can agree that it could be one of the five

1) New Jolla Device (Jolla 2)
2) New Tablet (Jolla Tab 1)
3) New Smart Watch (Jolla Watch 1)
4) a other manufacturer what use Sailfish OS
5) TOH Hardware

missing something?

...
- start the work on platform UI scalability, beginning with making icons resolution independent and improving layout scaling

My guess : Sailfish will be scale independent before 2015Q2, with a new device with big screen in 2015H1. Possibly a tablet (7-10"), maybe a phablet (5-6").
This is too much of a coincidence to not be relevant to this announcement. Something will be announced that runs Sailfish in a different resolution than the current Jolla.

Maybe more like:

"I feel a merge between Ubuntu and Sailfish, lets start the countdown-countdowner"

And don't forget to add a 'I told you so!' gif

Maybe some Jolla TOH hardware ? Some people noted that it kinda looks similar to an edge of a TOH (thickness, roundness, etc.).

Well of course a new device is going to be a different resolution. They can't stick with the existing one. Indeed, we don't think it was the planned resolution for the existing device, when they were using the NovaThor chipset ...

I don't think the recent Nvidia Sheild is supported by Cyanogen Mod. But someone already managed to run glibc Linux with Wayland natively on the development board which has the same SoC as Shield.

So it's highly likely to be an announcement of a new Sailfish device, though not necessarily a Jolla one.
