The very first thing you should do is objectively identify the criteria that make something a mobile computer and (since you seem to be saying its a mobile computer to the EXCLUSION of being a smartphone) objectively identify what features are exclusive of smartphones. This should be done by polling your friends, or just random people you meet, and not by trying to identify the features yourself, otherwise you are more then likely to fall victim to confirmation bias. Ideal polling candidates should not have any idea what the N900 is. The more people you can poll and the more methodical you can be, the better your results (assuming your methods are sound and you aren't asking leading questions).
Once you have clear criteria established, please come back so we can all see where the N900 fits!
