Because we discuss about catorise (plus) and not apmefo (:
And we would like to improve the app. ^^

[ ] you know what you're talking about

With catoriseplus you can create own folders and you can put applications to whatever folder you like. But contrary to apmefo this helper is easy to use and way faster. And it works automatically too!

It should work with 0.6.0.1.

But you can backup your files like:
Code:
cp -aR /opt/catorise/share ~
cp -a /opt/catorise/menu ~
and restore like:
Code:
cp -aR ~/share /opt/catorise/
cp -a ~/menu /opt/catorise/

you can try this on command line (as root):
dpkg --configure --pending

Maybe there are leavings from catorise which disturb installation of catoriseplus (shouldn't happen but who knows ...). check if catorise is still marked as installed by typing
dpkg -l | grep catorise
(this is a pipe sign in the middle)
you should see some lines with catoriseplus and maybe catorise. catorise should start with 'rc' if listed at all. If it's marked with 'ii' or sthg else you should uninstall both packages manually by typing
dpkg -r catorise catoriseplus
Afterwards (a reboot would be good at this point) you can install it again, either on commandline or using fapman.

This is a bug in hildon-desktop. You can use CSSU, it fixed the bug.
