People like you are the a great motivation to anyone writing software Thanks!

Great pictures. The only thing I don't like is the Nokia logo. I don't want to get sued by them for using their logo in my screenshots

Beautiful UI and very convenient, far better than the one of the stock camera.

Thank you Jordi!

I am also waiting for feature requests

I've also uploaded all the versions to openrepos here https://openrepos.net/content/msameer/cameraplus (no screenshots were added there yet).

yay, thanks for the openrepos upload!
really huge improvements since last i checked.
definitely better than stock camera!

are you accepting donations? id really like to donate.

feature requests:
1) do not hide the capture button when zoom buttons capture
{perhaps a radio selector for zoom|touch|both ?}
2) make it so that removing pictures manually from DCIM doesnt break cam+'s lovely lovely pic review
3) make it so that pictures added manually show up in cam+'s pic review
{it seems they do sometimes. are you using the tracker db? i dont populate it, but it seems to work sometimes}
4) in focus/halfpress/longpress/qcam.searchAndLock/whateveryoucallit,
is it possible to not have it flash if you have flash=off?
i didnt see anyway to do this in qtmobility, but maybe there is.
or maybe theres a way to detect if the light WILL go off, and just disable focus?
{the use case is when flash photography will disturb performers or is prohibited.}
5) can you disable the camera sound when the profile is silent, and/or filter it through the volume?
{i actually dont know if you already do. i think there may be a bug in powerpack 0.3.1 that makes certain programs unaware of the profile}
6) can you default gps=off, since it can be such a powerdrain?

I would like this too. When trying to focus on something with long press it flashes and breaks focus.
But its in default camera app so can it be changed?

Thank you for the donation offer. I don't accept donations but if you really want to donate then please direct the donations to charity Thanks!

1) I always thought about that too but wasn't sure. I am also thinking about adding a setting to use proximity sensor for capturing. I am just a bit worried it would trigger often. What do you think?
EDIT: That will need work in order to prevent breaking the UI state if you tap capture button while holding zoom down for capturing. I will try to tackle it and see.

2) pic review breaks? Could you please give me steps to reproduce ?

3) That is the problem. I currently depend on pictures having device maker and model being set in exif tags to detect camera captured pictures. I can also assume any images and videos under DCIM are captured by the camera. This has 2 drawbacks:
- If you move pics away from DCIM then they will disappear from post capture review
- If you get images from another N9 then they will not show up unless saved under DCIM.

What do you all think?

4) thst is actually the assist light trying to focus. I don't think there is a way to disable that. I remember harmattan stock camera team was getting a lot of bugs about that because people confuse it with flash. That is a platform limitation unfortunately
What you can do is tap and release immediately. That will capture an image without firing assist light or trying to focus. It might be blurry though

5) I think it's powerpack. Just tried it here and camera sounds are muted in silent profile but I think it might be specific to the regional variant. I am not sure. I can however add a workaround. No worries
EDIT: Implemented in git already so should be there when next release comes out.

6) I will give gps one more try in order to fix the issue. If I fail then i will have to default to off but I would appreciate if someone can help me here. It most likely needs some X11 knowledge to hack around the issue.

And I really appreciate all your comments

do you have a favorite charity?

steps for #2:
0) {disable tracker crawling completely. this might only affect tracker-less folks}
1) take picture, rm it
2) observe blank entry in pic review
3) take another picture
4) observe blank entry is removed.
5) observe picture has wrong log timestamp.
6) observe file will have correct timestamp and metadata

restarting, rebooting, and starting camera-ui all do nothing. note that when i first install the app, it correctly indexes all the pictures for the review.

as for #3, i personally would LOVE for any pictures in the root of ~/MyDocs/DCIM {not subdirs} to show up in picture review, regardless of exif data. this way, i would have a sensible expectation of what would show up, and the consequences of user actions are straighforward. {take it out, it goes away, put it back, it shows up}
