so just for record. Some of us are pointed to
https://wiki.ow2.org/sync4j/Wiki.jsp?page=HowtouseHttps
which tells only the half of the trues. The other part to get https working is
http://forge.ow2.org/tracker/index.p...96&atid=100096
.

The buck in the Funambol 8.0.1 is still present even if the script moved.

Or in sort edit /opt/Funambol/bin/funambol-server an remove or comment out line 111 (JAVA_OPTS="$JAVA_OPTS -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=$DS_SERVER_HOME/lib/security/cacerts")! Restart Funambol and have fun

Success.

I had succesfully set up synchronization of my N900 with zyb.com syncml server using this tutorial. Thanks. To share my bit, the only unobvious step was the calendar config.ini, which for me reads:

config/syncevolution/sync1/sources/calendar/config.ini
Code:

Code:
sync = two-way
type = calendar
evolutionsource = id:1
uri = calendar

Since last update (0.4 in devel) my google sync fails from GUI - sync.py hangs eating 100% CPU. Working just fine from console with
Code:
syncevolution google
downgraded meanwhile
Code:
apt-get install syncevolution-frontend=0.3

Yes it has worked for me too.

Although I had the problem with my existing ZYB account when I attempt to synchronize it informs that a sync is already in progress!

I added a new Memotoo account and that syncs okay.

So I'll try to delete the ZYB account, the re-add it to see what happens

There is already a bug report for this issue:
http://bugzilla.moblin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10122

There should be a working version (0.5) available soon

Ciao jukey

0.5 Released today

I have installed it, and it works with ZYB and Memotoo. Although it took an hour to sync Memotoo, and it created 4 copies of every contact in ZYB.

But hey working in the right direction

I downloaded it yesterday evening, installing on mine & my wifes machines, and it worked perfectly on each sync'ing to our scheduleworld account. I also set it to sync automatically in the middle of the night & it carried that out without fuss (at least, it didn't wake me & complain!). It does take a time & I assumed it had crashed the first time I tried using it, but just have patience, and it seems to work fine. I've used it about 6 times in the last 24hrs & each has worked perfectly.
I'm not sure where I should leave feedback for the developer etc.. so if someone can point me in the correct direction I'd be pleased.

Hello,

Seems that many people in this thread write about using funambol with syncevolution succesfully so maybe you can help me with my problem:

I have set up a funambol server and use syncevolution to sync my n900 and evolution mail client and I also use a "native remote sync client" to sync my SE G900 phone. All seem to work fine (with all the clients) when I'm connected via wifi, but when I try to use gprs or 3g networks the sync fails.

The funambol server is running on a private ip and I have forwarded a port from my public ip to the private ip, to port 8080.
- using wifi the sync is succesfull via the public ip
- using gprs or 3g on n900 the sync fails shortly after it starts with error:
"CurlTransport Failure: couldn't connect to host" ,
After this initial error all the "resent the previous requests" fail with the same error message until the sync eventually fails with syncevoluton "status code 20043".
- even if I use ssh local port forwarding to create a ssh tunnel from n900 to funambol server the sync fails the same way.

The questions I have:
- have you guys been able to succesfully sync n900 with your own funambol server using gprs or 3g networks?
- any ideas on where I should look to solve this problem?

propelli
