Since the current (Tmaemo8) update does cause a reproduceable reboot loop we've pulled it from the repo.

We've discovered the root cause for the reboot loops and a fix is finished, it will hit the repos tomorrow.

I hope we didn't wreck too many devices ...

Edit: I remember reporting myself, that the ringtone changing to Nokia Tune occurred also in some time at cssu-devel after doing apt-get upgrade there. The post is here: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...1&postcount=34 Not sure if it is the same cause.
Will this little bug find his fix in tomorrow update? Default Nokia Tune is OK :-D but, like others, I prefer my own ringtone. Thanks in advance.

Do I need to do anything if I explicitly installed mp-fremantle-community-pr version T7.2+thumb1 to avoid the reboot loop?

Still not working, right?

Also got updates notifications today, but they won't download.

mp-fremantle-community-pr is kept back by apt...

Can i already run apt-get update, or should i wait until all packages are updated ?

Sorry if this is a bit off-topic, but could someone explain why an "apt-get dist-upgrade" would delete mainly all packages? Including apt?

Some dependency mix-up and apt-get has different defaults as to how to respond to them than does HAM, which is highly conservative. One should use HAM rather than apt-get on the n900, unless you know what you are doing.... that's the advice given AFAIK.

Can't install the cssu.
Getting this error in the application manager:
"Unable to download 'Maemo 5 Community SSU Package',
Application package not found."

if you want to install cssu, explicitly install version T7.2

/edit: @gtk devs: what about upgrading cssu gtk to latest stable 2.x version? plus maybe utilizing Aapo's glib?

I need cssu-testing because of the bleeding edge driver.
How would I install version T7.2 like you said?

The bleeding edge driver isn't part of cssu whether it's stable ,testing ,thumb or devel.
It's present in power kernel version>=50(maybe 49 too).

Edit:
If you mean you need cssu-testing for bleeding edge driver to work.
Bleeding edge driver isn't dependent on cssu.
