I was looking for battery tips. Long story short, I accidently input: lshal in the command line and pressed enter. The output from this accidental command said: Dumped 96 devices from Global Device List.
All lshal does is list things - it has absolutely zero chance of affecting App Manager.

I have been disabling and reenabling the repositories to fix, no luck. I get msg saying no Package header.

How can I restore the Application Manager functionality? Thanks to all, Marty and
Your /etc/apt/preferences file is invalid. From the looks of it you have empty lines between the "Package" and "Pin" details.

You can't install it - there's not a version of Flash 10.1 been made available for the N900. There's an app (Tweak Flah Plugin Version) which allows you to tweak the flash version reported by the N900, which makes a number of sites work.

Try this one [http://maemo.org/packages/view/appinstaller/]

go to application manager disabled all application category let App. Manager update....wait and enabled all of it back.

X-term try "apt-get update" again.

manual install up on your "LUCK" like install .. NitDroid.

Yeah, there's a bug in the libsmpeg0 post-install script. Try doing "mkdir /usr/share/doc/libsmpeg0" then rerunning the install.
