It holds the N800 (which I leave in its Nokia sleeve), a USB charger and the headphones without rattling around and it is rather crush proof so I can just toss it in a bag/backpack
Ahh, someone with the same requirements. Thanks for posting the link. This is the case for me....and I can order it in blue

This looks good. I want a a case that will hold both an N800 and a folded iGo keyboard. Do you think this would do the job?

The iGo needs about the same space as an N800 but it is maybe 3/4" deeper (front) to back than an N800.

Hmmm....I don't own an iGo keyboard and at the moment I don't even own the case . However, I did try the case last night at a store in our area. What I can tell you is that the N800 in its Nokia sleeve is a nice, snug fit in the bottom half (with the strap) of the case with no room to spare in the depth dimension. I didn't try putting the N800 in the top half (with the netting) but my hunch is that the case won't hold both. Maybe other members who already own the case can actually try it.

HTH.

UPDATE:
While searching the Accessories forum for advice on keyboards, I came upon a thread that suggests that it can be done with the iGo Stowaway Ultra-slim (4-row keyboard). See the thread titled, "The best case for your N800 and iGo Stowaway Ultra-Slim Keyboard" http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...light=keyboard. You didn't mention which Stowaway you have; be aware that dimensions differ between the ultra-slim and the full stowaway (5-row).

I got my N800 onn 1/31/2008 when the local CompUSA finally put phones on 50%. Of course they were basing it on the original MSRP of $400, instead of the current MSRP of $300. Anyway, getting it made me dig out a Wheatley Fly Box that I had been using years ago for my Palm. You can get the box in choice of 6 colors and choice of foam (flat or slotted) here. The box measures 6" x 3 1/2" x 1 1/8". It's a little thick, but with the foam in it, it holds my N800 fine. It goes in my front pocket ok.

I pulled some of the foam and used it to for cushions along the edge of the case. Attached with double sided tape. Also used a couple of squares of it to support the front of the N800 since the back isn't flat.

Man... that's nice! And the colour options sure are pretty, too. I wonder if it would be just silly to get one in green or blue even though I've already ordered a Proporta case.

When will the accessories madness ever cease with me?

I found this case...it is just a few mm short of perfect....I know the feeling:

But they might have other aluminium cases that could work. Though I love the idea of the fly case...that is really an elegant solution.

The Pelican 1040 hard case works quite well. Get the foam inserts for it, and follow the instructions I posted here:

http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...ad.php?t=16930

And then you'll have a nice safe case for your N800 (or N810, I did one of each) that is water tight and crush proof.

This would make it 1/4 the size of my laptop bag. I could live with that.
Proporta gadget bag?
