Hmmmm... oh well... we'll just have to do it the difficult way then.
Buggered! Again!

My goal is to make it simple:

* Flash a bootloader to kernel area.
* Write a MeeGo image to microsd.
* If microsd is inserted at boot, MeeGo starts
* If not, Maemo starts.

.. is that easy enough?

Well, we'll see. I'm just saying that because I hope this will be sorted out.

They might not update the internal bugtracker until a release is ready, or they might have altered the builtin app so much, that it's not relevant anymore, or whatever. We'll see it when the update gets here.

Sure is. I meant difficult in the sense we will not have any help/support from Nokia, which would have been nice.

But seriously, when have you ever contacted Nokia for a software questions instead of just coming here?

Remember, real men flash their device at least once a week

Wait... I hate to ask - I've scanned this entire thread which has grown from the first few pages to 14 by now... but has something been officially stated - other than the fact that Nokia won't be adding dual-boot for consumers - that I've somehow missed?

Feel free to slam me with some links and knowledge.

Frankly, I think it's the opposite, they overestimate us. Every time there's a N900/handset related blog post in meego.com TMO turns into a big lump of misunderstanding.. to the point that they/others usually have to come here to explain what they mean.
