On http://wiki.debian.org/ArmEabiHowto
i read that to keep compatibilty with old eabi and eabi
kernel should be compiled with

CONFIG_ARM_THUMB=y
CONFIG_AEABI=y
CONFIG_OABI_COMPAT=y
______________________

On p51 i see only

# CONFIG_AEABI is not set
CONFIG_ARM_THUMB=y

Doesnt this break compatibility with old arm chroots? I cant chroot into an older arm etch for istance.

try running
Code:
apt-get source kernel-power
inside fremantle sdk's scratchbox don't forget to add extras-devel repository to /etc/apt/sources.list and "apt-get update" first

I am getting an unmet dependencies error when I try to install kernel-power-flasher. The specific error is:
kernel-power-flasher: Predepends: kernel-power (= 1:2.6.28-10power50) but 1:2.6.28-10power51r1 is to be installed.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled all of the kernel-power modules, but cannot get around the dependency error. Manually installing kernel-power installs 51r1.

Any help would be appreciated.

Inatall kernel-power first, then modules, then flasher.

Alas same error. I did:
apt-get purge kernel-power kernel-power-modules kernel-power-settings

Reboot, then:
apt-get install kernel-power
apt-get install kernel-power-modules
apt-get install kernel-power-settings
apt-get install kernel-power-flasher

Only the last one failed with the same dependency error.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Weird. -flasher for v50 should be cleaned out of repos by now though.

Try apt-get update and reinstalling kernel-power-flasher.

I did that early on, just tried again but still getting the same error. Is there a local cache of the downloaded package I can clear? I noticed at one point that I lost my data connection, yet the install proceeded without interruption, which leads me to believe it is pulling it from local storage.

Thanks

Update. I removed all kernel-power apps, did "apt-get clean", rebooted, did "apt-get update" followed by reinstalling the kernel-power apps. I got an error installing kernel-power which suggested running apt-get install --fix-missing. I did this which seemed to have fixed the install problem, however when I got to installing kernel-power-flasher I still got the same error.
