Haha, had this account for a year. I still occasionally write 2010 too so no worries.

I've actually been here since Sep 2009 but forgot the email and password to my old account.

Thank you anyway. It's good to see some positivity around here.

I'm glad there are people who are willing to entertain non-developers like myself.

There are many who are skilled in creating apps and troubleshooting but sometimes make me feel lousy when they say things like "You know, you shouldn't be asking and blah blah blah, DON'T DO IT THEN IF YOU DON'T KNOW blah blah blah..."

I know I might not know some technicalities and AM even more blind in terms of doing any sort of apps.. which is why I ask and people like Reffyyy and even MAG or others that have helped me so well in making my n900 experience really good.

Cheers to these SUPERB individuals and developers

You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
mp-fremantle-community-pr: Depends: hildon-desktop (>= 1:2.2.142-4) but 1:2.2.141-4 is to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

Are you sure you're installing the version that I just posted? I just tried it and it worked fine. Make sure the one you're installing has the version number 1.2.2.142-4.

I'm considering creating a repository containing all the modified hildon-desktop packages. I'd be updating all the packages every time the source version gets altered.

I think this would be a far easier approach than uploading deb files from Mediafire. The packages will probably be updated via Hildon-Application-Manager or Faster-Application-Manager.

This means no more dpkg -i and no more PIN issues.

What do you guys think?
