ideal - ideal (as kernel-config creators think).
lv - Low voltage (lower voltage than normal)
ulv - ultra low voltage (lower voltage than low voltage)
xlv - extreme low voltage (lower voltage then ultra low voltage)
starving - lowest of predefined settings (lower voltage than extreme low voltage)

So starting from lowest voltage it's: starving < xlv < ulv < lv < ideal.

You can try xlv and if it crashes, try ulv, if it still crashes then lv and if it still crashes -> ideal. You need to check if it is safe, worst thing that could happen is your device rebooting and restoring default values. I use ideal profile since I can remember and I'm quite happy with it.

I edited XLV profile freqs to 125/1000 and it crashes very often , now I edited default profile freqs to 125/1000 and also voltage on 125 freq from 125:30,90 to 125:25,90 , I guess it's good now .

le : I changed also 500:48 to 500:30 .

Hi All, I installed QCPUFreq, but for some reason, i'm not able to overclock my phone. When going in the menu, I'm not able to tick the "Enable overclocking" Box. I can only underclock the phone. Who can Help me, I have power Kernel 47 and NitDroid installed for information. Thanks in advance.

Try opening a terminal and write
Code:
uname -r
If it's not 2.6.28.10-power47, you are not running v47 kernel.

I got 2.6.28-omap1

What does it mean? What do I have to do to be able to overclock the Phone?? without messing it up!!

This means you are running stock kernel, not power47. If you have multiboot installed you need to select power47 at boot. Otherwise I guess it is just downloaded but not properly installed on your device. Try to see if it still shows up in FAM, and if it does, install it. A backup might be a good idea if you're unsure. If you get error messages during the install, post it into this thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=71879 (you might want to read the thread too).

Thanks Zdanee, My problem has been fixed. I installed Linux Kernel for Power User (boot Image) on Boot, I have the choice between omap and power47 plus Nitdroid too. Thanks again.

Possible to save the frequency in QCPUFreq, when rebooting the CPU frequency has been reset. (using kernel 47)
