If I flash, I am loosing my current Maemo-Installation?
I think it should be mentioned in the "warning" area.

2."Write "sudo su". Then you write "gparted"."
Is it confirmed that gparted should be replaced by using fdisk, because gparted-created-partition seems to cause problems?

Very interesting project!

One last Question about 3D GPU,
did someone contact those guys over at
http://code.google.com/p/rowboat/
if they are interested in helping getting andoid + 3D to work fpr n900?
the kernel is partially an issue re the 3d it's not a major issue on the to do list at the mon phone is a bit more important

also phone is being looked at but as per usual for nokia being rather annoying

Yes sure phone is here more important, but I meant those guys at rowboat could do the other part, because they are more advanced and so it could be done more easily by them. Only a thought.

It's really exciting to read about the progress with Android.
And now Froyo in the works is really nice

I have really learned alot since I bought the N900.
Tweaking and coding to enhance it's performance.
This just by tips and tricks from the community.
Thank you!

But making the N900 dualboot Android seems really to be above my head in knowledge.
I'm wondering if it'll ever will become easy for a noob like me to get Android working on my precious?
I really want to get it working but it's my main phone at the moment and I i'm afraid that i'll totally brick it. I'm a breaker you know..

Well, lovelly work you all involved in this project

you cant brick the n900 without physically droppign it onto concrete (gotta give nokia credit for the way they have designed the recovery routines

yup as long as it the newer froyo buiild (e-yes.nitdroid.com link), be warned you WILL have to set a static ip for wifi to get it going at the min.

howto quicky:
go into wifi settings, press menu (ctrl/sym) select advanced, scroll down adn pick the static ip box then enter details as needed below. then you will be able to connect happily to wifi network

also has anyone got any spare ddr ram kicking around lol. gettign a bit tired of my dev box eating 100-400mb into swap when building things.

Code:
dev-nas:~# free -m
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 597 591 6 0 374 28
-/+ buffers/cache: 188 409
Swap: 482683 135 482547
dont ask how i have 500gb of swap, very longggg story
