Read here and here.
And, most importantly (with regards to the CSSU), here.

What are the next projects? Or is that a stupid question?
Issues like flash 10.x and fully nitdroid are not possible for you?
Two easy ones:
  • Flash 10.1: Doesn't require CSSU to be delivered; but seems very unlikely to be end-user released & optimised for Maemo 5. No.
  • "Fully" NITdroid: Doesn't fit with the concept of improving Maemo 5, really, does it? No.

Future stuff depends on what developers come along. thp's interested in improving hildon-desktop and increased portrait support. Mohammad's interested in general improvements and increased portrait support. Sc0pius is interested in Modest improvements.

It seems the develper of SomePlayer has been working on this new media player for the last 6 months, I assume without mentioning it to anybody on the forum including you.

I haven't tried it yet but posters on this link are saying it is what the standard media player should have been from the start..

http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=70405&page=7

Not sure how this compares to your new media player which I understand is also in developement?

i lost my password in the bugzilla and noticed a wrong text:
it says "If you have an account, but have forgotten your password, enter your login name below and submit a request to change your password"
While you have to fill in your email adress.

Under "Conversation", you'll see a link to http://wiki.maemo.org/Conversation_Mods.

You'll find directions under that wiki page along with links to the original forum posts. If you are struggling, try using the related script.

Any further difficulties, try asking within the thread related to the above script (i.e. http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=36618&page=1)

Cheers!
Hi.... I've tried most of the mods and actually loving the fact that some of the themes actually support portrait mode 'fit to text' which is brilliant...

then noticed that it doesn't mod the IM's chat window which still browsers horizontally.... :P

Is maemo.org's Bugzilla now allowing login names that aren't email addresses?

Thanks for all the work to bring all these new features in the N900.

My small contribution: http://maemo.org/packages/view/cssufeatures/

This is a simple PyQt app that allows you to change the options shown in the wiki page: http://wiki.maemo.org/Community_SSU/Features

The app is not complete and for the time being provides the bare minimum.
I have a todo list for improvements but feel free to make requests here:

Hmmm, we need a wiki page for feature requests in CSSU. The developers could then comment on whether possible (if closed source), any actions planned, etc.Anybody agree with me?

With all due respect to the developer of SomePlayer, I did download it and try it today but found it very unintuitive and clunky.

As a developer, I appreciate the passion and commitment that goes into creating a piece of software but I would say that SomePlayer (while it may have a number of nice features) is in no way shape or form polished enough to be able to replace the default Media Player.

I would much rather see MAG's 1:1 clone of the existing media player (with some additional features thrown in).
