I really don't get you this time. You want to focus on something but not change the exposure?

Couldn't that be done with manual exposure compensation?

Confs still need to be written.

@the one who wanted it for Maemo5: you may want to ask some devs to include the cameraplus ui in camera-ui2 (cssu camera-ui)
Thank you! I missed that but will act on it

confs are mostly the same. The only difference is the resolution for N950. I can add a 12 MP option.

I was just a bit busy with the sailfish port

i, personally, would advise against anything destructive, and instead merely suggesting a reboot with a notification.
I tried finding a way to do that but failed. I'd appreciate any hints

I might add a common config option (first linking the common ones, and only later the device-specific.)

Is it because it's annoying or because you want to capture images faster and the preview is preventing you?

I wouldn't be too optimistic

Anyway, I will try disabling the preview and see if it improves the capture speed a bit

Believe me I am trying to. I just don't have any profiling tools to help

If any QML expert can help then it will indeed help.

on a side note, you might want to consider opt-in daemonizing/prestarting.

its obnoxious to have your app always running without even notifying the user, but it can actually be a useful feature, and youre never going to get faster than without it.
