Hi Benjamin,

And from Ovi.....

Dear Ben,

Thank you for contacting Ovi Support. Some contents can now be sold for Maemo devices, such as wallpapers and audio and video content. We are currently working on allowing all types of contents to be paid contents on the Maemo. We appreciate all comments and feedback and are working towards meeting our publisher's needs.

Thank you once again for your feedback. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Best Regards,

Ah, no. The question was put to them on the basis of whether PR1.2 would include something to solve the "Oh, ****. We can't make people pay for apps if they come from a repo" problem.

So, technically on topic.

I know better than to take this thread off topic. This is far too important a subject for people to make idol off topic remarks.

Now, anyone know where Joe Tallari is set to be playing next season?

Ok, I got word directly from Nokia!

Dear Bec,

Thank you for contacting Ovi Support. If your thread located at http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...616#post621616 reaches 2000 posts, the update for N900 will be indefinitely delayed. All we can promise if you don't stop this nonsense is PR 2.0 this time next year.
Also regarding your question with the end of the world - yes it will happen f the thread reaches 2012 posts!

Thank you once again for your feedback. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Best Regards,
OviGrim

Does anyone else's heart skip a beat when they see the [!] Icon in the status bar? And then get extremely disappointed when it's a third party update?

Yes. His boss, the Telnet Expert, outranks him, and when he's sick, boss can just telnet to port 23 and take over.

He also has a boss, also a Telnet Expert, Guru Black Belt Level, but he's the head of the department because he can e-mail with attachments via Telnet and alt+numeric.

OK not wanting to point fingers and embarrass people but i have been following this thread and several others for quite a while now and i had no idea that (based on what seems to pass for "humor") the average n900 owner was 10 years old.

seriously people either you know something or you have something genuinely funny to say about how pathetic we all are waiting for this mythical piece of software to arrive.
