The thing i meant with C++?
In C# you can start off a ready engine.
In C++ you have to make most of it from the bottom.
And... IMO, 2D games are so boring.. I never wanted to play games like LoZ Link to the Past. Because its 2D.
I got Unity3D, though. Hasnt there been a discussion about a port made by Unity?

Yes, it has. In Maemo4 it was even part of the standard python runtime with PyGTK. On Maemo5 it is a separate install, but if you install for example SolarWolf, it will be pulled in as a dependency.

C++ is probably the best suited language for games dev! I wouldnt use anything else. Especially since you can slam some assembley language right in the middle of it. C++ is my favourite and is the choice of nearly all professional developers.

No you don't. There are tons of 3D engines for C++ you can use. That has nothing to do with the programming language.

Hmm, i found an engine called Panda3D, its Python.
It needs a binary to run, but its described as an easy engine.
But the upside is that it has support for Linux.
Would it work to use binaries meant for desktop?

For an ARM desktop, if you can find one, maybe :-)

Seriously, no. It would have to be recompiled for the N900.
