Gone from bad to worse now. Tried to use backup menu app to restore both rootFS and OptFS (since OptFS restore didn't work). Got a checksum doesn't match error message and now I can't even load as far as the backup menu boot screen.

If you want i can repair for you. But since it's warranty, might as well go nokia care.

Thanks. Found somewhere near me willing to fix it for cheap. Unfortuntely, they said won't be ready till Tuesday and I am travelling. So will be without my device for some time.
