I guess some suppliers bought up surplus stock at some point?

Thanks nman, a newly purchased new n900.

BTW, those undoubted rip-offs, mostly from China, what do they run OS wise? Looking like an n900 is one thing but ...

None of them are new. Just well refurbished. Anyone saying otherwise is delusional

Great price and my only dilemma is whether to order another...

I would suggest that you stop spreading FUD and bad mouthing legitimate sellers that you know nothing about. Negri (BTW that is the owner's name) has pretty solid reviews on resellerratings (I wouldn't have ordered otherwise), and I found a few posts here from members that purchased N9s from them and I didn't see any complaints. You need a nice kick in the *** for your post.

Zed, a million thanks for that link!
Hi, thanks for you information,

They can be new, from very old stocks... But here I will agree with lumiaman, the N900 model IS DISCONTINUED. So the chance to actually find a BRAND NEW one is 1 to 1.000.000 (or more). And let's be clear on this one, doesn't matter if it's brand new or refurbished, what are the chances that TIME never affected the motherboard, and problems will soon appear!...

Also, I didn't read the first page, maybe someone also said this, but since when the N900 was made in Korea?

EDIT! Sorry, the phone was DESIGNED in Finland and MADE in Korea... My bad...
