it seems like you lack some repository, check if your /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list seems like this:
Code:
deb http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com/certified/ diablo user
deb http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com/non-certified/ diablo user
deb http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com/updates/diablo-2/ ./
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras/ diablo free non-free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/ diablo free non-free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/ diablo/tools free non-free

If you install the sudser package with the Application Manager and you'll be able to use sudo which gives you access to root owned applications as in "sudo apt-get autoclean".

I wouldn't recommend using extras-devel. If there's a particular app you need from that repo, I still wouldn't recommend it (it's testing software, and could quite likely bork things), but if you do, at least disable the repo after installing the package you want, to avoid messing up your whole system if something goes wrong.

you're right, unless you're using apt-pinning. but this time i'm guilty, i've installed e2fsprogs and forget about it. thanks

How do I remove the repository once I've installed it?

you can comment with a # at the beginning of the row in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list or you can do the same thing using the application-manager's menu.

removes all stored archives in your cache for packages that are no longer in the repo or that have a newer version in the repo. In other words it frees space from your file system.
