Maybe you can join forces with smurfy.
I know and use Fahrplan. The code is quite neat and on github. I think that I might ask him to port his code on my platform, but not now. His code provides more features, like routing, that is not yet provided in my code.

Sfiet_Konstantin, do you have any plans to port your code to Maemo? Fahrplan is available there and it would be a pity to go Meego-only in the future.

Why not, but I have strictly no idea on how to package on maemo. Those who know can just take my code and package it.

I have no coding skills whatsoever, sadly. But I'd really like italian railway company and my own city's public transportation company to be included. They both have apps on other platforms (Trenitalia also already has a nice harmattan app, Quando Parte, that you can find here on TMO).

I can work on a translation to Italian if needed!

I'm uploading on my deb repo (see 1st post) a version shipping the helsinki information sources. Please do testing, because I don't understand Finnish, and am not sure of the retrieved data.

It might take some time for OBS to build it.

Currently, my API don't fit for trains applications (or airports) because you might want to do routing or check for arrival and departures, that are not the same than with buses (arrival and departure are the same here)

I think that soon, I will provide them and it will be way easier for other developers to port.

They have data, but it cannot be accessed. No apps are made for any platform.
When Croatia joins EU next year, government companies will be forced to share all the data to the public. Only then we can make apps.
Well, the Czech Republic has been in the EU for quite a while, but there is still a single company that has a defacto monopol on gathering all public transit info (the transit providers are obliged by the law to supply up to date shedules to this company) and although it provides quite a nice website for searching the database, there is no API for third-party apps and they seems to be quite actively trying to defend against large scale scrapping through the web interface.

Well, there are still some ways to access it, but its far from how nicely it could work if they provided a proper API or even just a database dump.

I would like to request the addition of Singapore's Buses but unfortunately, there are 2 operators here SBS and SMRT who only grant permission to their API when requested...

There are good iOS and Android apps who have been granted permission...There is a n9 app called SGTransit in the Store which has not been updated in quite a few months...I sent an email to the dev yesterday requesting to share info here if he doesn't intend to carry on development but he replied that he already knows about this app and is looking into things...

He seems to want to continue development as he informed that he is awaiting permission from SMRT for their API...

Hopefully he joins in here to make this app more comprehensive...

I'm also putting this out here so that it answers any queries other Singaporeans may have...
