Well, I have it as a choice as well, but I always get the opera engine, no matter what I select.

Yea, that doesn't do anything but add the correct repositories.

I was able to install the microb-browser just fine after a install and backup restore. I believe using the install file gives you the correct repo settings for it.

Yep, I tried everything I could (though I already had the repositories in place since I did a backup and a restore). I'm also having dependencies problems trying to reinstall applications that I previously had installed, so maybe there's (or was) something borked with some of the repositories at the time I did the upgrade.

I just double-checked that I am running the Microb browser. My ways of checking are clunky; maybe someone has a better method.

If i open a new browser window, Opera opens something that mentions Tableteer. Microb opens something that mentions a Mozilla browser.

And my cable provider site, at www.rr.com, doesn't come up right in Opera, but comes up fine wiith Microb. I think it has something to do with Flash support.

These tests confirm that I'm running Microb. Maybe one of the more advanced techs in the daylight will be able to offer more suggestions.

That's the method I use as well. Someone else mentioned that you could also look at the download bar, it sweeps much faster in microb than when in opera.

Maybe someone can find a better site but :

http://www.leeson.com/browsers.htm

Will show you the browser info which the engine is -claiming- to be.

On my unflashed device i get :

(opera) Microsoft Internet Explorer - 4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; X11; Linux armv6I; U)

(microb) Netscape - 5.0 (X11; en-US)

Well, I give up, I'll reflash later. I have all the repositories (from the backup) yet I cannot install microb. I even tried to remove the repository to let the dowload link readd it, with the same tesult.

Maybe they are doing some fixes to the MicroB installer... and it is offline now.

Hopefully they are fixing the bug that causes the advanced features go away from both Opera and MicroB after MicroB is installed?
