You probaly need some swap, check in the memory section of the control panel that the max swap is on. And for the high speed kernel check out Fanoush's page, but read carefully it is complicated, this is way I said over time.

The swap was on and full 64mb

well I do not know what you problem is exactly but this is not a high end computer. I do not know if you ever tried but with windows 9x you could compress the drive to have more space but slower. This how the tablets internal drive is, it has to decompress the stuff to use it, this takes lots of time/power. If you have a larger MMC i suggest you get all your stuff off of it and try to boot off MMC, it is faster and more stable.

To do this make sure you are not using it, even turn off the swap first.
It is really easy if you are doing it right, took me 4 tries (I was not reading the log errors). Check it out here.
